About us – Kiwifreebets

Offers and free bets are the starting point here, examined in the light of New Zealand law and plain arithmetic. No bets are taken, no tips are sold and no return is promised, because no bet is guaranteed to win.

What an offer is checked against

A free bet counts for little unless the one making it may lawfully do so. New Zealand keeps no register of licensed bookmakers, since only one provider is lawful: TAB NZ, through TAB and Betcha, which since 28 June 2025 alone may offer racing and sports betting to people in New Zealand. The Department of Internal Affairs, the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025 are the sources. Overseas bookmakers are not licensed here, and the Department says an overseas company offering these bets breaks the law, although the law is aimed at the operator and not the punter. Being listed in a ranking never amounts to a licence.

Working with sources

Provider facts are taken from the provider’s own terms, help pages and footers, and legal ones from statutes and public bodies’ publications. Offers expire and odds move, so any figure carries the time and place of its use. Where sources run out, the point is described in words and no number is invented.

Audience and limits

Readers are expected to be adults in New Zealand, since TAB NZ betting begins at 18. The pages are no replacement for legal or tax advice. Anyone for whom betting is taking over more than planned can contact the Gambling Helpline or Safer Gambling Aotearoa.
